2010 Race Focus
December 27, 2009 1 CommentHi Paddlers
I hope you all had a great Christmas and are planning for an exciting new year?
For 2010 there are a lot of exciting prospects on the horizon for the Canoe Club and I hope this will translate to your personal lives as well?
Racing is a key ingredient for our club and with that in mind we should choose races that will help us grow as paddlers and also compare our progress nationally as a club.
Last year (2009) we had The Mens team at Liberty in New York, 2 Ladies in the mixed race and 1 Lady in the ladies race. Jade also went to Kent Island to paddle with the Phillie Ladies team. As far as I can recall that was the sum total of our national representation in the OC6?
Could you please choose 3 races in priority that match your: budget, fitness and ambition from the poll in the sidebar. We can involve other Florida clubs in our chosen races to make up the numbers if necessary.
Yours in Paddling
Derick

So many to choose from! Unfortunately, it looks like major travel will not be happening for us again this year, but we are definately planning on Key West in our surfskis, and hopefully Kent Island or Catalina for OC6!
