National Race Season

Hi Paddlers

We have a few choices for the national race season

The greatest dilemma is the clash of dates for the Kent Island race and the Queen Lili. These are the 2 races that gathered the majority of votes during our survey last month.

Rob and Karen will be co-coordinating and paddling the Kent Island race. They will coordinate a team for the race thru the website initially and if need be, will call on other Florida clubs to fill seats as needed.

The Queen Lili is on the same weekend as the Kent Island Race so I will take on the coordination function for the team until someone takes the mantle. I won’t be doing the Queen but will begin getting the team together for all the interested members. Please sign up on the website; this is a great race weekend.

If anyone is dead keen to do a specific race then please go ahead and get as many paddlers together as possible from the club and fill in as the need arises. I think back to the Liberty Cup last year when Leslie and Terri were slotted into a free agent team from all over and at least got to experience the race. If there is any other race you would like to do then send Terri a note announcing your interest and she will set up a registration for that race on the website.
